This position requires Hands-on coding experience and a proven track record of developing complex, web-based/desktop applications in an n-tier architectural environment. Designs, modifies, and develops, writes and implements software programming applications, participates in the testing process through test review and analysis are key pre-requisites for this position.
• Assist technical lead with assessing ballpark estimates for prioritization• Participating in requirements debriefing, clarifying and finalizing requirements
• Assisting with design and architecture of application functionality
• Designing and developing object oriented, flexible, scalable and extensible Java components;
• Performing analysis and design in the context of full life cycle systems development including UML, Use Cases, Sequence and Class Diagrams;
• Defining technical requirements through interviews and grooming sessions with business analysts
• Providing technical architectural direction when needed;
• Developing prototypes and/or functional/technical specs to meet business needs;
• Coding and testing software changes in accordance with department and generally accepted standards
• Performing peer code reviews
• Finalizing written code functionality with Unit and integration testing
• Conducting trainings (JUGs - Java User Group etc.) once a month
• Fulfill any other responsibility assigned by the manager.
• Ensuring code meets requirements specifications
• Lead root-cause analysis, communicate options for resolution and provide recommendations to resolve customer-facing technology problems
• Generate innovative ideas and support new ideas or approaches that enhances service
• Promote positive tone and high standards of quality within the group or department, and serves as a model to other team members
