In recent years, considerable innovation in these core technologies – like the Internet of Everything, Intelligent WAN, Wifi Location Analytics and Converged Access – have led to the need for a specialist team to drive our leadership of these areas in the UKI market.

Role & Responsibilities
Cisco has an excellent opportunity for a Pre-Sales Systems Engineering Manager in the Enterprise Networking team, who is a technical sale’s professional with broad knowledge of the Networking industry, technologies and vendors, and to be seen as a leader within the sales organization. The successful individual will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the challenges IT departments face today and how Cisco’s leading Networking strategy is at the heart of business transformation.
• Uses expert business knowledge and technical acumen to develop a technical strategy to support revenue growth.
• Drives revenue through technical account planning and resource planning / allocation.
• Helps meet UKI revenue goals by developing and driving innovative technical programs and overseeing day to day business activities.
• Provides technical direction and business guidance to regional sales team.
• Proactively develops and maintains a team of high-performing pre-sales consultants (Systems Engineers, Consulting Systems Engineers and Technical Solutions Architects) and continually seeks methods for improving team performance. Measure team individual and team performance against plans
• Applies technical experience, and business knowledge to improve proficiency and increase market share for solutions / architectural plays.
• Public Speaking and presenting of overall Networking and IoE Strategy at key events
• Develop relationships with Business Units and Product Managers to provide support for local region
• Identifies market trends and product developments which provide an opportunity or a risk to growth of future Cisco networking revenues
• Mentor and Coach System Engineers and Managers
• Provide leadership and direction to customers on how Cisco solutions and architectures add financial and strategic value for each customer, based on knowledge of industry / vertical market trends, local business economics, and strategic issues.
• Demonstrate advanced understanding of industry trends and market opportunities around new products, solutions and architectures to create technical business plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and help the team identify effective strategies to position Cisco architectural solutions against the competition
• Role model Cisco culture and brand values in your own day-to-day leadership
