Main Responsibilities

The purpose of the Sports Officer position is to supervise sports, wellness and recreational program and activities. He/she will give first preference in the maintenance and management of sports facilities. Sports officer is also responsible for overseeing and managing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for students and for assisting the professional coaching staff when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • · Management of booking of sports facilities i.e. football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, tennis, squash, badminton, areas with sports complex.
  • · Management of Sports Inventory, stores, equipment.
  • · Repair and maintenance sports facilities, gyms machines and equipment.
  • · Supervise reception, gyms, and janitorial staff and assign duties on daily basis and ensure smooth functioning of sports complex. Inspect Janitorial works and implement them to maintain the standard of cleanliness.
  • · Regular inspection of grounds and ensure that the grounds are properly maintained and marked
  • · Management of SWR-sports at LUMS accounts raises indents, follow-up of procurement. Also Keep a record and ensure maintenance of the inventory register of sports equipment’s and assets.
  • · Manage stores on regular basis and the register should be up to date.
  • · Daily supervise and inspect the attendance register of sports staff.
  • · Coordinate, plan, and organize all HEC Competitions and also involve LUMS Teams in HEC Competitions. Record keeping of all HEC Events with LUMS Participation. Supervise and provide assistance for the set-up of competition / championship.
  • · Supervise training session and mark regular attendance of students, players and coaches.
  • · Arrive early and set up the facility for the sports activity
  • · Regular inventory management and check out / check in equipment’s.
  • · Provide quality supervision during contests
  • · Apply all procedures involved sports administration.

Assets Management of Sports Complex

  • · Manage inventory on ledger on regular basis. Proper record of all documentation done at the Sports Complex should be maintained and updated on daily basis in the sports complex reception office.
  • · Responsible for periodical checking of all stores on six month basis
